where you stand
Främmande, a.k.a. Where You Stand is a sound installation/sound art, specifically made for the Främmande Exhibition at Östergötlands County Museum by invitation, 2006.
Two texts with the opposing views on the theme främmande (the unknown, the unfamiliar, the strange, stranger, the foreign, guests, etc. in Swedish) are taken from the Internet and juxtaposed with each other via each channel of a stereo recording and heard from each speaker placed on the floor.
As you walk through the installation across the floor, what catches your attention depends on where you place yourself in the installation.
